Mango season!

Ignatius

This is Ignatius. He approached Nate on the street a few days ago saying that he'd noticed our tree loaded with mangos and offering to buy them. After some hesitation Nate agreed. And was he glad he did! Ignatius, who is a fruit grower/seller by trade, & his assistant, Richard, provided our family and neighbors with entertainment and education for 2 days as they worked on harvesting all those mangos. Here he is (above) getting his protective suit on before climbing the tree (the biting ants are aggressive). And there he is (below) at the top of the tree.
Every time a shower of mangos would come crashing down, making a ruckus as they hit the roof of the building below it, Elijah, Judah & the neighbor kids would whoop & clap & jump & yell, "Fireworks!"
In the end, Ignatius was able to haul a couple thousand mangos off to the market. Here is one of many loads taken. Ignatius is in the middle.

Welcome Joan!

We are welcoming Joan (the little girl sitting on the left) into our community of believers here. She is an orphan that was recently taken in by Pastor Martin & his wife, Scovia. Her parents were believers, but when they passed away she was turned over to Muslim relatives which turned out to be very difficult for her. Martin & Scovia, who have a great burden for orphans, learned of her situation & decided to open their home & family to her. She is the 2nd orphan that they have taken in, bringing their family total to 10! We praise God for their heart for the fatherless.
