I (Rhoda) came close to stepping on this little guy yesterday in our garage. I hopped back in the car and let Nate and Zipporah, our house helper, corner it and kill it. Ugandans treat all snakes here as poisonous. The kids enjoyed getting a glimpse of his fangs afterwards when Nate pried its mouth open for them to see.

Hannah & Zipporah

Zipporah helps us in our home part-time. We're so thankful for "Cora" (as Hannah calls her)!

School has begun!

A rainy-day drive to the village

Happening upon this unfortunate truck stuck in the mud and blocking our road, we decided to pursue another route.

The Naigobya class

The students in the Naigobya class listening to the players for the first time.

Introducing the "Mega Voice Player"

The device in Nate's right hand is a solar-powered audio player. He is currently working on recording Bible stories in Lusoga, the native tongue in our region of Uganda. Thirty-seven stories are finished, and we have begun to distribute the players to the students in the 2 classes in the villages where Nate teaches.
