Happy Valentine's Day!

We enjoyed having Del Palmer, Lyle Mattson & Elden Nelson with us for a week this month. We kept them busy, but they didn't complain!

We enjoyed having Kevin Olson with us for 2 weeks in January. As always, he encouraged us greatly and was just a lot of fun to have around!

Bible training

Nate recently started to travel to Butagaya every Monday to provide Bible training for a group of church leaders who had invited him to come. One of the assignments is for each student to share the Bible story they studied that week in class 10 times in the community. Two of the leaders showed up to class one Monday to tell everyone that they'd each had the opportunity to lead someone to the Lord after sharing with them. We are excited to see God working amongst these incredible leaders.

The monitor lizard

It took us several months to capture and kill a monitor lizard that had set up residence on our compound. He made himself useful by keeping the rat population down, but our yard worker was concerned that it could bite the kids if they should ever happen upon it while playing outside. This one was apparently a young one.

Pastor Sospeter's wedding

The choir marching in...

Pastor Sospeter and his wife had a traditional "wedding" (or "introduction") years ago, but not a church wedding. They've been saving for years in hopes of having this ceremony in the church. It was a wonderful day of celebration for them as they renewed their promises to each other before the Lord and before their community.

Eleven young men were confirmed during the service. Here are a few of them sharing their testimonies. Nate now travels out to the village on Saturdays to teach and disciple them.
